Our Story

Silver Poodle Grooming Co. has been a longtime dream of owner Olivia. The salon is named in honor of Gwen, her beloved toy poodle.

Gwen — the heart behind the name.

Olivia had Gwen since the day she was born, as her family owned and bred Gwen's mother. Olivia began grooming when Gwen was 10 years old, and Gwen was the very first dog she ever groomed. She wasn't always the easiest client. Other groomers often mentioned that she disliked having her legs and feet handled. As Gwen grew older, new challenges arose, including anxiety and arthritis. With each stage of life, Olivia learned to adapt her grooming approach to meet Gwen's changing needs.

Those experiences shaped the way Olivia views grooming today and became the foundation of Silver Poodle Grooming Co.'s philosophy: every pet is an individual and deserves to be treated as such.

We do not believe in an assembly-line approach to grooming. Some dogs are young and full of energy, while others may be senior pets, nervous dogs, or pets with special needs. Every dog has different comfort levels, and we strive to work at their pace whenever possible.

Our goal is to provide a calm, personalized grooming experience. We don't believe in rushing pets through the process or keeping them at the salon longer than necessary. At the same time, some dogs may benefit from extra breaks throughout their appointment, such as separating the bath and haircut portions of the groom to help reduce stress and keep them comfortable.

At Silver Poodle Grooming Co., your pet's comfort, safety, and well-being will always come first.
